Create from Felt the Provincial Flower of Quebec: Blue Flag Iris

Chosen in 1999 as the provincial flower of Quebec, the Blue Flag Iris is the perfect representation of Quebec's provincial flag. Of all the regional flowers, this one was the most complicated to make, so feel free to reference the internet (You tube has some great videos on making Irises) Supplies : blue or purple felt (try 2 shades of the same colour as I did in my version) white, yellow, tan and green felt wire hot glue gun sticks Tools scissors wire cutters glue gun 1) Cut out felt shapes 2) You should have 9 rectangle pieces in 3 different sizes (3 small 6.5x 3cm, 3 medium small 7x4 cm and 3 large 8cm x5 cm). Cut each piece diagonally in half. 3) Cut 9 pieces of wire, around 10 cm in length. Fore each petal, take on half, run a line of hot glue along the "diagonal" edge, place a wire piece along the glue, making sure that wire overhangs the "skinny" end of the felt triangle. Take the other side of the felt  (flip it over so the halves mirror each other) an...

Create from Felt the Provincial Flower of Ontario: Trillium

Set aside 4) Cut 6 pieces of wire, around 15 cm in length. Take your 3 petal pieces and 3leaf pieces and cut each piece in 1/2, vertically along the center. For each petal and leaf, take one side, apply hot glue along the center edge, place a piece of wire along the hot glue and place the other side overtop, sandwiching the hot glue and wire in between ...

The Purple Saxifrage is the emblem for Canada's "newest" territory, Nunavut.
